Phil took up the role of Group CEO for the UK’s largest independent Co-operative Society, The Midcounties Co-operative, in August 2018 having originally joined to run its Food Retail business in 2015. The society’s trading groups include Food Retail, Travel, Healthcare, Childcare and UGliGes. Phil is on the Board of the Association of Convenience Stores (ACS) and the Board of Federal Retail Trading Services which oversees the buying and distribuGon for 4,000 Co-op stores across the UK.
