Parallel Session 1.4: Through cooperative culture and safeguarding cultural heritage
Mr. Hyeonggeun Yoon is the executive director of the Hansalim Cooperative Federation. He chooses coexistence, cooperation, and solidarity as the values the cooperative movement should pursue.
Mr. Yoon has been actively exploring the cultural aspects of cooperatives based on these values within Hansalim for nearly 30 years. His first job began at the Hansalim Forum in 1988. In the process of creating the consumer cooperative movement in Korea in the 1970s, the Hansalim Forum deviated from the existing economic paradigm and considered a new society and culture in which rural areas and cities, producers and consumers, and human and nature coexist, focusing on the community.
