Parallel Session 2.1: By Taking Advantage of the Digital Age

Dr. Saji Gopinath is the Vice-Chancellor of Kerala University of Digital Sciences, Innovation and Technology set up by the Government in the southern state of Kerala in India. He has a long career as a Professor of Management with the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode where his research is primarily in the area of Operation Excellence in a variety of social and commercial organizations. He has also served as the Director of TAPMI Manipal, one of the top business schools in India. As the Vice-Chancellor of India’s first Digital University established with the objective of curating a responsible digital world, Prof. Gopinath leads several digital transformation initiatives in the country.  He was also credited with creating a vibrant technology startup ecosystem and was recognized as State Startup Champion twice by the Government of India.  Prof. Gopinath is also a mentor to India’s largest labour cooperative which has been recognized as the world’s second-best cooperative in the category of Utilities and Industry by World Cooperative Economy Monitor 2020.
