Martin Lowery is the U.S. representative to the board of the International Cooperative Alliance and chairs the ICA Cooperative Identity Committee. He is the immediate past Chair of the National Cooperative Bank (NCB)  and is the Executive Vice President, Emeritus, of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA). In 2014, Martin was inducted into the Cooperative Hall of Fame, the highest honor that the U.S. cooperative community bestows on individuals who have made heroic contributions to the cooperative movement. Martin received a bachelor’s degree from DePaul University and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Duke University.
