Plenary Session 1 Examining Our Cooperative Identity
Youngbum Park has served as Vice Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs for the Republic of Korea since 2020. In 2019 he was the Secretary of Agriculture and Fisheries, Office of Presidential Secretary for Economy in the Presidential Office, and in 2018, he was a member of the Self-Evaluation Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.
Prior to this, Mr. Park was the Non-executive Director for the Korea Rural Community Corporation, and Member of the Agricultural Policy Reform Committee. In 2005, he served for three years as the Commissioner for the Special Commission on Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Policies. In 1998, he served as Director of the Regional Agricultural Network Cooperative for 11 years. In 1997, he was Head of the Agricultural Policy Research Group at Seoul National University.
Mr. Park received his Bachelor, Master and PhD degrees in Agricultural Economics from Seoul National University.
